Reason for Participating in NOMAN:
"I want to be part of an endurance challenge that has never been
done before. NOMAN gives me the opportunity to be a pioneer
in a team setting.I was first inspired by the sheer physical and mental
scale of this row, since giving up rugby late last year I have missed being
a part of a team and practising towards an event and a goal. In recent
weeks my motivations have changed a little and the more time I have
spent with Tristan the more I have got an understanding of the issues
around HPV, be it the lack of attention it is getting, the stigmas
associated with HPV or the lack of uniformity in immunisation projects.
I am very excited about this adventure, slightly worried about sea
sickness and sun burn and now really focussed on raising enough money
to tackle some of the projects the foundation has set as targets."
ALEX VON MOLL
Alex works in the commodity group at Goldman Sachs. He is married to
Tanya and has two children; Lily aged 11 and Freddy aged 8, they live in
Suffolk. Alex is a keen sportsman, focussing on rugby in the winter and
sailing in the summer months but with age and injury taking their toll Alex
hung up his boots last year. He misses a real challenge and the enjoyment
of team success.
